Posted January 11, 2011. I thought it would be good to describe the various ways that you could get started, what tools you could use, and what learning material you could follow.

Trying to become a video game developer. I started working on a new game called Anaconda Wars. It is a remake of the classic snake game. I know everyone has played that game or some version of it on a cell phone or the internet. Right now I have 2 game modes one with the classic rules and one with a variation of the classic rules. Here is a video of the prototype.

The idea is that we want a canvas that represents a 64 x 64 pixel grid. We want to be able to draw or erase each individual cell in that grid using whatever color we have chosen and also draw an updated, to scale version to see the results in real time.
